Most practices treat veneers as purely a cosmetic treatment, but our dentist and team use them mainly for restorative purposes. These thin shells made from porcelain or resin are placed on the outside surface of the tooth and we can use them to:

After Dr. Giauque has determined that dental veneers are the right treatment option for you, he will begin by preparing the surface of your tooth. This is done by trimming off some of the enamel in an equal amount to the thickness of the veneer. The purpose of which is to reduce the effect that the veneers will have on the feel of your smile. We want you to leave our office happy and comfortable with your smile!
Once that step has been completed, we create a mold of your tooth and use it to size and shape the veneer. In a later appointment we will then permanently bond the veneer to your tooth. Between these visits, we will provide you with a temporary veneer to protect your tooth.
